The NELEX Supervisory Board The NELEX supervisory board consists of three experienced managers, bringing together legal expertise, broad supervisory board experience and entrepreneurship.

Guido Theissen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Guido Theissen has been a licensed attorney since 1993 and a certified specialist in tax law since 2008. Before joining the Cologne office of LLR in 2009, he spent fifteen years practising law in a mixed partnership with tax advisors and auditors.

Guido Theissen advises on all matters of tax law and criminal tax law. A closely related focus is advising on business succession, corporate restructuring and company transfers, all of which require expert tax guidance. This also applies to real estate projects, where significant tax optimisation opportunities frequently exist.

Guido Theissen is a member of the working groups for tax law and criminal law within the German Bar Association (NRW regional chapter).

Uwe Freese, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Uwe Freese is currently Managing Director of an online marketing agency group based in Düsseldorf. Within this group, inbound content and online marketing strategies are developed and implemented alongside the associated technical challenges. Among other responsibilities, Uwe Freese oversees one of the most established HubSpot partners in the German speaking market. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of EURO RSCG 4D, later known as Havas Worldwide Germany.

In early 2020, he also successfully sold Medulife GmbH, a development start-up in the field of online medicine and patient care, to one of Germany's major hospital operators.

Uwe Freese is an entrepreneur to the core, having demonstrated this time and again through numerous new ventures in the online space.

Felix Höger, Member of the Supervisory Board

Felix Höger is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DE-CIX Group AG. DE-CIX is the world's largest internet exchange service provider, and the DE-CIX Group consolidates all activities related to interconnection services on a global scale.

At the same time, Felix Höger serves as board member of eco, the Association of the Internet Industry, which represents all telecommunications companies as well as IT and internet firms, currently with over 1,100 member organisations. In addition, he acts as an investor through his family office and as co-investor for several large private equity companies.

Felix Höger was the founder and longstanding CEO of PIRONET NDH AG, now CANCOM Managed Services GmbH, in Cologne, before selling the company to CANCOM SE in 2015.
